Jazz Outreach Introduction

Jazz has been declared a national treasure by the U.S. Congress, and New York City has always been its beating heart. The New York Jazz Workshop, located in the heart of midtown Manhattan, is dedicated to fostering a deeper appreciation and understanding of this rich, ever-evolving American art form — one that connects with cultures and communities around the world.

Through our Jazz Outreach programs, we collaborate with conservatories, music schools, universities, nonprofits, corporations, and cultural institutions to bring jazz directly to their communities. Our programs include jazz appreciation workshops, band clinics, master classes, and corporate team-building experiences.
