Apollonia Foundation

October 2014

New York Jazz Workshop Music School in collaboration with Apollonia Foundation, the Institute for the Study of European Small States, and the Skopje Jazz Festival is bringing the American jazz experience to Skopje, Macedonia in the form of a jazz “atelier.” The “Apollonia Jazz Workshop” is being held at the Faculty for music in Skopje, Macedonia on October 18th and 19th, 2014.

Bogazici University – Istanbul

To celebrate its new location at the esteemed Michiko Studios within mere steps of Times Square, the New York Jazz Workshop School of Music (NYJW) will be hosting an open house on March 2nd from 3 to 5pm for everyone and anyone who’s curious about joining a thriving, passionate community of musicians in the world capital of Jazz!

The students of the New York Jazz Workshop vocal classes led by Fay Victor and Olivia Foschi have been taped for a BBC show about songs of freedom. The show takes a close look at Billy Taylor’s “I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be Free” made famous by Nina Simone.

BBC World has an audience of 250 million around the globe on TV, online, on the radio. They are heard on a host of NPR affiliated radio stations across America. The show was broadcast in February 2014 and you can listen to it here
