Join bassist Jay Leonhart and drummer Vito Lesczak for a presentation on what bass players needs to hear from a drummer. What do they appreciate and what inspires them in regards to their drum partners? And at the same time what do drummers expect from their bass partner? We will tackle and answer all those questions and hope you’ll join with questions you’ll bring as well.

For more than 60 years Jay has been in demand for live performances and recording sessions and has played with everyone including Judy Garland, Duke Ellington, Thad Jones, Jim Hall, Peggy Lee, Mel Torme, Kenny Barron, James Taylor and Sting. Drummers he worked with range from PapaJoe Jones, Louie Bellson, Buddy Rich to Billy Hart and Bill Steward to Steve Gadd and Peter Erskine.
We will explore what Bass players and drummers need from their fellow rhythm sec  partners in general but also specifically what those before mentioned drummers individually brought to the rhythm section and what each of their special talents were as seen from the view point of the bass player.
