Last Vocal Workshop for the second Session
A little late to blogging about last weeks workshop this week after a busy week of teaching and performances. Last Thursday was the 4th session and we closed to with a bang! after a relaxing then buoyant stretch and warm up we got talked about rhythm. How its discussion in music, how it relates to improvisations, how it moves jazz. We clapped out some rhythms and weent tonto some free improv rhythm exercises that was lots of fun as wella s informative.
The final hour we welcomed our accompanist for the first time, John Austria. The students loved his playing and I liked being able to sit back and taking much more of their performances. The students had a great time as well. Looking forward to getting going next week Thursday and do inquire about taking it, there’s a slot or two left open.
