- New York Jazz Workshop Podcast Series with CJ Shearn #1: Jim Ridl
New York Jazz Workshop Podcast Series with CJ Shearn #1: Jim Ridl

The New York Jazz Workshop Podcast Series is designed to feature interviews with faculty on their approaches to jazz education. Occasionally, interviews with the biggest stars on the jazz scene will be featured where they discuss their new releases, and thoughts on jazz education. It was an honor and privilege to sit down with NYJW’s very own, pianist Jim Ridl who is a tremendous player, composer and educator. Huge thanks go out to him for taking the time to speak with me. Please note that his name is correctly pronounced “riddle” at the close of the podcast as opposed to “rydell” at the opening. Enjoy, and keep swinging.
