Teaching Topics and Philosophy
Topics
I teach voice students at all levels, from beginners to advanced singers. My lessons include vocal technique, repertoire, interpretation, phrasing, rhythm, ear training and music theory. I specialize in Jazz, Brazilian music, and South American styles such as folklore and tango, often blending these genres with jazz elements. I also teach in Spanish, Portuguese, and English, helping students connect with music in the language they feel most comfortable with.
Philosophy
Singing is more than just technique—it’s about expression, storytelling, and connecting with the music in a personal way. My goal as a teacher is to help students develop their own unique voices while building strong technical foundations. Every singer has a different path, and I tailor my lessons to meet each student’s needs, whether they’re looking to refine their sound, explore improvisation, or dive into a new style. Whether it’s Jazz, Tango, Brazilian music, or South American folklore, I provide the tools to understand the phrasing, rhythms, and nuances that define each genre. Most importantly, I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel inspired to take risks, grow, and enjoy the process of making music.
Biography
Born into a family of musicians, I was surrounded by music from an early age. At 16, I began touring across Argentina as the lead singer of my father’s group, performing a fusion of jazz, South American music, and Brazilian influences. Over the years, I have developed my own artistic voice, blending these styles in a way that feels natural and authentic. As a performer, I’ve had the opportunity to sing in Argentina, the Dominican Republic, the United States, Chile, Brazil, and Paraguay, sharing my love for jazz and Latin American music with audiences around the world. In recent years, I have focused on arranging and performing my own music.
Teaching has been a fundamental part of my musical journey. With more than 10 years of experience as an educator, I have worked with students from around the world through both in-person and online instruction, as well as serving on the faculty at Notes N’ Beats in Virginia, USA. I have also led masterclasses at Universidad Pedro Henríquez Ureña (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic), Jazz Cube (Asunción, Paraguay), and Experimento Jazz (Talagante, Chile), focusing on vocal technique, improvisation, and interpretation.
Beyond performing and teaching, I am deeply committed to using music as a tool for connection and empowerment. I co-founded Oratorio La Boca, a project in Argentina dedicated to providing mentorship and creative opportunities for children from vulnerable backgrounds. I have also worked as an Affective Referent, offering long-term emotional support to adolescents who have experienced hardship.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Jazz Vocal Performance from Tamaba School of Music (Argentina) and have continued my studies in jazz composition, arranging, improvisation, piano and trumpet with teachers such as Marc Mommaas, JD Walter, Olivia Chindamo, Benny Benack, Michelle Walker, Sebastian De Urquiza, Sebastian Jordan, among many others . With a multilingual and culturally diverse background, I bring a broad perspective to both my teaching and my music, always looking for ways to help students find their own voices and tell their own stories.
