  • NYJW receives only tokenized payment information (not full card numbers)
  • We receive information about failed payments and card updates

Social Media:

  • If you connect social media accounts, we may receive your profile information, friends list, and other data according to your privacy settings on those platforms

Analytics Providers:

  • We receive aggregated analytics data from Google Analytics and similar services
  • This helps us understand how users interact with the Platform

  • Process one-time and recurring payments through Stripe

  • Automatically charge for recurring enrollments (per Enrollment Terms)
  • Charge for no-shows, late cancellations, and attendance without enrollment
  • Send billing notifications, reminders, and invoices
  • Handle refunds and payment disputes

  • Send enrollment confirmations and class reminders
  • Notify you of schedule changes or cancellations
  • Send automatic recurring billing reminders (1 week before charge)

  • NYJW does not store full payment card numbers on our servers
  • We receive only tokenized payment information from Stripe
  • All payment transactions are encrypted using industry-standard protocols

5.3 Limitations

While we implement strong security measures:

  • No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure
  • We cannot guarantee absolute security
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials

5.4 Your Responsibilities

To help protect your information:

  • Choose a strong, unique password
  • Do not share your login credentials
  • Log out after using shared devices
  • Keep your contact information current
  • Review your account activity regularly
  • Report suspicious activity immediately

6. DATA RETENTION

6.1 Retention Period

  • Transaction records: 7 years (legal requirement)

6.2 Deletion Requests

When you request deletion of your account or personal information:

  • We will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days

  • Backup copies may persist for a limited time in our disaster recovery systems

Accounts inactive for more than 3 years may be deleted after we send notice to the email address on file. If you do not respond within 30 days, your account and data may be permanently deleted.

7.6 Social Media Connections

To disconnect social media accounts:

  • Remove the connection through your account settings
  • Revoke permissions through the social media platform’s settings

7.7 Do Not Track

Some browsers support “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals. Currently, there is no industry standard for responding to DNT signals. We do not currently respond to DNT signals, but you can use the cookie and tracking opt-out options described above.

8. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

8.1 Age Requirements

  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13

8.2 Parental Consent 

If a parent or guardian discovers that their child under 13 has provided personal information without consent:

8.3 Students Ages 13-17

For students ages 13-17:

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services not operated by NYJW. We are not responsible for:

  • Data collected by third-party sites

We strongly encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

9.2 Social Media Features

The Platform may include social media features if used (e.g., Facebook Like button, Twitter share button). These features:

  • Set cookies to enable proper functionality
  • Be governed by the privacy policy of the social media company

9.3 Third-Party Analytics

We use third-party analytics services such as:
