Join Patience Higgins for a two-hour weekly music workshop on jazz improvisation. Inspired by the methods of jazz icon Barry Harris, this workshop provides a path for musicians to enter the world of jazz improvisation. You will have the opportunity to learn and practice new scales and drills that will help you to ingrain the language of jazz improvisation and apply those ideas to jazz standards such as the blues, bossa nova, and rhythm changes.
In a welcoming and non-judgmental setting, you will be encouraged to play and improvise. This class is a wonderful and warmhearted environment for like-minded spirits to get into the music together.
