New York Jazz Workshop Music School

Since 2008, New York Jazz Workshop has taught students of all ages and levels that jazz is the foundation for musical creativity. Located in midtown Manhattan near Times Square and Penn Station, we offer a clear path: learn improvisation, theory, and musicianship through jazz, and you’ll be able to play any genre with confidence.

Many member of our faculty teach at Juilliard, Manhattan School of Music, NYU, The New School, and Columbia University—and tour globally as professional musicians. You get world-class instruction at a fraction of university tuition.

Private Lessons Study piano, guitar, saxophone, voice, drums, bass, and all instruments. In Person lessons are available at our midtown studio, at teacher studios throughout NYC, or online. Our instructors help beginners build fundamentals and experienced musicians refine their craft.
