The New York Jazz Workshop is proud to present the NYJW Saxophone Quartet, an ensemble of pro’s for your booking consideration. The NYJW Saxophone quartet is lead by Marc Mommaas on Soprano sax and includes Sunhyun Yoo (Alto sax), Eli Hershiser (Tenor sax) and Matthew Mayer (Baritone Sax).
The repertoire ranges from Jazz to Classical and some in between and you can expect arrangements from from Jazz artists such as John Coltrane, Charles Mingus, Yusef Lateef, Lennie Niehaus, Hubert Blake, Dave Bramely, Nick Ayoub and Ralph Martino. Styles will be mixed up and includes classical four part arrangements (Bach, Ravel), Piazolla (the Tango Suite), Porgy and Bess and Bob Mintzer jazz arrangements etc.
