Oscar Pettiford – 1958
Oscar Pettiford was instrumental in developing the bass technique of the 1940s and 50s. ‘Blues in the Closet’ is a harmonically simple blues. It’s lots of fun to play and gives us a chance to practice our parallel left and right technique.
